I had a dream about sharpening pencils last night. Sorry, not a very exciting topic, but if I have to dream it, I might as well bore others with it as well.
Dreammoods.com says that I have to think more flexibly and that I have to listen to what others have to say and to not be so quick to reject their views and opinions. I think dreammoods.com is wrong. What does pencil sharpening have to do with flexibility? Pencils are not flexible.
Dreamloverinc.com says that having a pencil in my dream is symbolic of my need to communicate with myself or others and that even writing a check to pay my bills is a form of communication. I say that writing a check to pay bills is a form of communication I never like to do.
Maybe I am being too literal (or maybe I'm just really deep) but I'm guessing my dream was my anal-self subconsciously stressing about having to take the LSATs in the morning. Maybe I wanted to make sure that my pencils were all nice and sharp for the test - either to fill in the ovals or to poke my eyes out. I also dreamt that I had already taken the test and I was out having a beer. But then I woke up at 6 am and realized I had yet to take it. I wasn't very happy.
But it's been hours since I've finished the test and I am happy to announce that my sharpened pencils were used for good (filling in ovals) and not bad (poking eyes out). Although this is all a matter of interpretation.
I apologize for this post. I hope no one will be dreaming about pencil sharpening any time soon.
