Because of its social stigma, I was very hesistant to do so. I prolonged it as long as I could, carrying my books and laptop in a school bag I had from undergrad. My posture and shoulders bore the brunt of my stubbornness, but I refused to give up my old bag - until yesterday. Yesterday was my first day ever using a rolling briefcase! Yes, I was one of those people. That annoying person who rolled over your feet with their briefcase yesterday on the bus? Yup, that was me. The one who banged you on the knee while they were struggling to carry their briefcase down a flight of stairs? Moi. The one you laughed at when they got stuck in the revolving doors trying to pull their briefcase behind them? Me.
I am not proud.
